That is pretty dang cool. I love how much control you have over his expressions! The last one is especially great.

He was easily my favorite, partly because his face was really expressive, but the way he was performed (by our director Jason) was the funniest fucking thing to watch EVER. He just said and did everything sooo sloooow (being a sloth) that it was a hilarious contrast to the rest of the characters. I hope it comes across when the show airs.

Pretty much...you don't have a ton of control over what has hands do if you're holding both rods - sometimes you just need to hold one, or have another puppeteer work the other arm for you.
